A Life That Brings Glory (Jn 17:1-5)

I have a simple question for you. Jim is a simple

midwestern guy in his mid-50's. He has been working at a Tire

Factory since he was 19 years old. Every day, Jim packs his lunch

and heads to work. He faithfully works hard at his job. He's honest

with his boss and co-workers. He does a great job producing tires.

Every night, he comes home from work. He has dinner with his wife.

Some nights, the grandkids come over for dinner. Jim's family loves

him and is grateful for his influence in their lives. So, my

question for you is this: "Does Jim's life glorify God?" This is

such a key question because it forces us to define what it means to

glorify God. Ultimately, it helps us answer a more important

question: "Does my life glorify God?" Sunday, we're going to open

up John 17:1-5 and see how Jesus defines success at living a

God-glorifying life. As always, I can't wait to see you all on

Sunday! P. Dave
