I love my wife. I think she's beautiful,

intelligent, and giving. Her personality lights up a room. God has

clearly given her many gifts. Clearly, my wife is beautiful to me.

Now, as her husband, I have some choices to make as to how I

interact with her. Since I think she's so beautiful, it's

reasonable for me to assume that someone else might find her just

as attractive. So, I might try to control her every

move...operating out of jealous fear. Jealousy might lead me to try

and control her. To hoard her for myself. But there's another way

to look at Clorrisa. I could view all the beautiful ways in which

God has gifted her. I could release her, encourage her, and empower

her to use her gifts to impact the world for Jesus. But to do that,

I have to TRUST. I have to trust her, and I have to trust God. And,

most importantly, in trusting her and God, I have to give up

control. Jealousy leads to ugly things. It did in King Saul's life.

This Sunday, we continued to dig into the life of Saul. And, we saw

that jealousy leads to a life of regret.
