Freed from Pretense

As we consciously take time to understand who we

are in Christ, we become more comfortable in our own skin. We don't

come across as trying to impress others by building ourselves up or

making ourselves look good. When we understand what Jesus has done

for us and we hold on to those facts, we are freed to become people

who have greater influence. We are able to bridge conversations,

moving from the mundane to the meaningful. We are comfortable

entering a conversation without knowing all the answers. Our focus

turns from thinking "What am I going to look like?" to "How can I

introduce this person to Jesus?" This allows us to have an 'into'

mentality, rather than an 'onto' mentality.
