Justified

When I was a kid, I have a memories of two

grandfathers. One of them was a very loving man. He died when I was

very young, but I have good memories of him hugging me and throwing

me in the air. I had the feeling that I could do nothing wrong

around this grandfather. The other grandfather was a very angry

man. He died when I was a teenager. My memories of him include a

lot of yelling. He seemed to have an over-abundance of anger to

dissipate -- often on those closest to him. Here's my questions for

you: Which way do you view God? Is He a doting push-over or and

angry bully? In Romans, Paul means to correct our views of God by

teaching us the gravity of our sinful behavior, AND by

demonstrating the extent of God's great mercy. Many have referred

to Romans as the most important letter in the New Testament. As you

read the text in preparation for Sunday, I pray that God would

richly enhance your view of our great God and his work of

justification in our lives.
