"He who fails to plan, plans to fail." I have heard
that quote many times, in many contexts. I'm so familiar with it
that it almost becomes meaningless. I wonder, is the opposite true?
Is it possible that "He who plans, will succeed?" I don't know.
I've had plenty of plans in my life. Look at any one of the dozens
of "diets" I've been on in the last 10 years, and you'll see that
my plans haven't necessarily turned to success. So is it possible
to plan for Christ-likeness? Can we plan for righteousness? Or does
it just happen? And if we plan for righteousness, will it come
true? In Ruth 3, Naomi and Ruth come up with a strategic plan to
maintain righteousness and grasp ahold of God's HESED
(lovingkindness). In preparation for Sunday I'd encourage you to
read through the entire book of Ruth again this week. I think
you'll be blessed. I can't wait to see you on Sunday!
