Have you ever thought of how big this world is?

Take a moment, think about it. As we expand our thinking out we

tend to look at what is going on in other countries and compare it

with what is taking place in our own. Sometimes the conclusion we

come up with is that God is leaving us out. The country in which we

live is past its prime when it comes to God’s blessing. Jesus said

he would build and bless ‘his church.’ We are to build his kingdom,

which goes beyond the boundaries of any country. God is looking for

people ready to do his work where they are. This week as we

continue in Haggai God really gets down to the nitty-gritty with

the Jews. He asks them to take a hard look at their current

position. He tells them that his blessing was available for them at

their present time. It was not for some other country at some other

time in history.
