When I drive my car, many times I set out and have
the odd feeling that something is not right. I check to make sure
I've got my phone. Then I check for my wallet. The phone and the
wallet are there, but there's something not quite right. It usually
only takes a couple of blocks until one of my kids yells out, "Dad!
Put your seat belt on." Oh yeah. That's what was missing. I had the
nagging feeling that something wasn't right. I just didn't know
what it was. Have you ever had that feeling? I'm not talking about
little things, like a seat belt, but big things. Like something in
your life is missing. For 15 years, I think that the remnant of the
Israelites had that feeling. Last week we saw that it took a word
from the prophet Haggai to wake them up. "The temple," Haggai said.
"You're missing the temple!" That message was really important. But
what's more important is what they did next. The people responded
to God's voice. On Sunday, we're going to dive back into the
message of the prophet Haggai. And we're going to take a look at
the proper response to the word of the Lord in our lives. I can't
wait to see you then! P.Dave
