Last September, we started a journey together. We

asked: "What does the Bible say about the local church?" We've

spent time defining and characterizing the healthy local church.

Over the past three months, three themes have come up over and

over. The local church is about connecting, equipping and sending.

The same thoughts filled Jesus' mind the night that He was

arrested. In the final hours before His crucifixion, Jesus prayed

for the unity of His church. What a great way to end our series,

"This Is Church." Lord Jesus, unite us as together we labor for

your kingdom! I hope you'll be encouraged and equipped to BE the
